With the easy-to-use crank handle, you can effortlessly switch between a closed, sheltered space and an open top. The Urban ECO pergola gives you the flexibility to choose between sitting in the sunshine or relaxing in the shade, and it provides instant shelter if the British weather turns unexpectedly!
A clever built-in drainage system ensures you don’t have to open the louvred roof to drain away water. Any rain that lands on the louvres flows into U-shaped channels within the pergola’s horizontal framework, then travels down through the inside of the hollow legs and drains vertically to the ground. This smart system means you won’t see water dripping from the pergola. Plus, if you open the louvres while wet, the U-shaped channels prevent rainwater from dripping onto your furniture underneath.
Our weather-ready pergolas provide a reliable shelter for you and your garden furniture during rainy conditions. However, during heavy downpours, minor leaks may occur. Just as you would maintain your home gutters, we recommend checking the pergola’s drainage channels regularly to keep them clear of debris and ensure your Urban ECO pergola stays in top condition.
The pergola requires assembly, and we recommend 2–3 people to safely lift and assemble it. The estimated build time is around 2 hours. It should be installed on a solid, hard surface, such as a concrete base. For the drainage system to function correctly, the pergola should be positioned on a patio with a slight gradient—something most patios naturally have to help water flow away from the house. Please ensure the legs are securely bolted down using the pre-drilled holes in each leg base plate and the supplied expansion bolts.
Our pergolas do not usually require planning permission, but if you are unsure, we always recommend checking with your Local Planning Office.
